LMS Patriot class 4-6-0 No 45537 Private E. Sykes, V.C. takes water from Rugby troughs as it heads north with a Euston to Blackpool express in October 1949. Appears to be still in LMS red livery with BR cabside numberss in the early 10'' pseudo LMS block style. Would be repainted green at next HG overhaul in Feb-Apr 1950
