LMS Patriot 4-6-0 No 45506 The Royal Pioneer Corps on a test special in Nottingham Midland on 31 August 1955. This was the 8.28 a.m. Nottingham Midland—St. Pancras. The tests were to see what passenger engines would do under normal working conditions, using poor quality coal.
