Ex-LMS Fowler '2P' class 4-4-0 No. 40565 (pilot). Built at Derby in April 1928 as LMS No. 565 and withdrawn in November 1959. Ex-LMS Stanier 'Jubilee' class 4-6-0 No. 45712 'Victory' (train). Built at Crewe in June 1936 as LMS No. 5712 and withdrawn in November 1963.

With a down express, 'Victory' and 40565 make a fine sight passing the extensive quarry at Crag Bank, Carnforth in May 1953. An unidentified 'Jinty' 0-6-0 Tank shunts the adjacent sidings.
