The first of the batch of Ivatt 2-6-2Ts built for the Southern Region in 1951/2, 41290 at Kensington Olympia in around 1953. It was working the ‘Kenny Belle’, the rush-hour shuttle service between Clapham Junction and Kensington. 41290 was at Stewarts Lane from September 1951 until May 1961 when it was transferred to Barnstaple Junction.
