41272 departing from Chalfont & Latimer with the push-pull to Chesham om 19 May 1959 was one of three Ivatt 2-6-2Ts transferred from Bedford to Neasden at the end of 1958. They were used the Chalfont & Latimer-Chesham branch in place of the GCR C13 4-4-2Ts, the former GCR lines having been taken over from the Eastern Region by the LMR in February 1958. When not working there, they were employed as pilots at Harrow-on-the-Hill yard. The branch was converted to electric operation in August 1960.
