Bangor shed began an association with the Ivatt 2-6-2Ts in February 1947 when 1200 and 1201 arrived, which lasted until June 1965. From nationalisation through the early 1950s, Bangor's engines worked both the daily passenger and goods trips on the Bethesda and Amlwch branches and also two trips to Llandudno Junction and the Caernarvon shunt. Three of the allocation are in this picture taken on 18 May 1963, 41233, 41226 and 41200.
