At Eastleigh on 28 May 1960, 41319 was working a long freight train, the headcode suggesting it was going to Southampton Docks via Northam probably from Eastleigh. It had been transferred there from Tunbridge Wells West in July 1959. 41319 spent its final three months at Nine Elms, on Waterloo empty coaching stock duties and on the ‘Kenny Belle’ shuttle.
