41231 at Leamington Spa General on 17 June 1963; it had left Wellington in October 1961 and was withdrawn from Leamington in May 1964. The Ivatt 2-6-2Ts there were used on local goods workings over the ex-GWR lines and an early morning passenger turn to Stratford and the thrice daily parcels train from Leamington to Coventry and Nuneaton. The footbridge in the background is part of the former LNWR Leamington Spa Avenue station, the terminus for the ‘Daventry Gusher’ push-pull service from Weedon.
