LMS designed Ivatt '2MT' class 2-6-2 Tank No. 41298. Built at Crewe in October 1951 and withdrawn in July 1967.

Looking rather work-weary, 41298 is simmering in Eastleigh MPD yard in May 1965. No less than 130 of these versatile and useful Prairie Tanks were built by both the LMS (10) and BR (120) from 1946-52. The thirty Riddles 'Standard 2s' were virtually identical, with only minor modifications.
