One of the eight Ivatt 2-6-2Ts in the early Plodder Lane1950s,, 41216 at its home shed. The engines were employed mainly local passenger trains from Bolton Great Moor St. to Kenyon Junction and Manchester Exchange. Bolton Great Moor St. closed to regular passenger services and Plodder Lane itself closed in October 1954. 41216 was transferred to Chester Northgate in September 1953.
