Ivatt 2MT 2-6-2T No.41225, at the end of a mixed line comprising a 4F, a Fairburn 2-6-4T and a 9F, was at its home shed on 7th October 1962.
The twin pipes above the buffer beam are both vacuum pipes. The pipe on left (as viewed) is the main vacuum pipe and the one on the right is the vacuum control pipe used when running Motor or Pull Push trains. The carriage warming pipe, with isolating valve, can be seen hanging below the buffer beam.
