One of the original 2,300 bhp 'Peaks,' No.D9 Snowdon with an up freight passing the shed at Burton on 29th September 1967. The first ten 'Peaks' had been confined to freight work for some time by this date; this was the locomotive fitted with a headcode panel at one end in February 1969 following accident damage.
