Peak' No.6 Whernside gently pulls away from Toton shed on 25th March 1973 before moving yet more coal. It still has its original green livery with grey body stripe but has been given full yellow ends. The 'Peak' in the background, No.149, is in full corporate blue; it was one of the final batch of the class which were fitted with Brush traction motors in place of the Crompton Parkinson type used on the earlier locomotives and would become Class 46 under the TOPS system.
