70001 1951-08 Norwich Thorpe
Britannia Pacific No 70001 Lord Hurcomb enters Norwich Thorpe with the down 'Norfolkman' in August 1951.
Peter Kerslake says "70001 was just six months old at this date. During their years on the former Great Eastern main line the Norwich and Stratford Britannias were the mainstay of express passenger duties before they were ousted by diesels in 1961."
