I considered removing the very obvious guyline on the right by a miracle of digital editing - but what the heck! Wilson Worsdell's answer to yard and hump shunting where real power was required were his ten '(LNER 'T1') 4-8-0 Tanks built in 1909-10 for the North Eastern Railway. The LNER built five more in 1925 so they must have been considered successful! Here's ex-NER 69910 in the yard at Darlington MPD on Sunday 5th July 1953.
