Photographed at Walcot from Shawbirch road bridge looking south to Wellington The sugarbeet factory sidings ended just beyond the overbridge in the distance. The handout issued on this train refers to 1965 as being the Centenary Year of the Talyllyn Railway and that this special train carried the greatest number of “pilgrims” ever to the Talyllyn Railway Preservation Society AGM – over 400. The general time-keeping of the train was not good but it was the second to last steam hauled Talyllyn AGM special and was thus very special. Originating from London Paddington the train was hauled to Shrewsbury by, Castle-class 4-6-0 No 4079 "Pendennis Castle" route taken was via Old Oak Common, Tyseley - Birmingham Snow Hill - Handsworth Jn - Wolverhampton Low Level and Wellington. From Shrewsbury 'Manor,' Nos 7812 and 7802 (shorn of their nameplates) took the train forward to Towyn
