102 1904-07-01 Paddington
The first of the three de Glehn compound Atlantics built in France for the GWR, No 102 La France heads out of Paddington past Royal Oak on 1st July 1904.
Peter Kerslake says "This is the inaugural Down 'Cornish Riviera'. The train included a 'Dreadnought' restaurant car, running behind the leading three Clerestory coaches with two additional Clerestories at the rear."
