MR 1276 1890s Bedford MPD

MR 1276 1890s Bedford MPD

Midland Railway Johnson '1252' (LMS '1P') class 0-4-4 Tank No. 1276. Built by Neilson & Co. of Glasgow in August 1876, re-numbered in 1907 to MR No. 1250 and withdrawn in March 1932 as LMS No. 1250.
There were lots of these Samuel Johnson 0-4-4 Tanks built, here is 1276 with a happy band of Bedford MPD's artisans seen circa 1890s. Better watch your fingers in that cog methinks! Note that light coloured corduroy clothing was in favour in spite of such an unlikely environment!
