Peter Kerslake says " The pioneer D11 or 'Director' class 62660 Butler Henderson sets off from Sheffield Victoria having been transferred to Sheffield Darnall in March 1957 from Lincoln. This was destined to be is final home depot from where the locomotive underwent its final overhaul at Manchester's Gorton Works in 1957, but a during a return from Sheffield to Gorton Works again in late 1960 the decision was taken to condemn 62660, although it was not cut up but was restored to Great Central livery before being placed in the Clapham Transport Musuem and subsequently the National Railway Musuem.
Returned to steam at Loughborough in the late 1970s Butler Henderson worked over Heritage lines for ten years from 1982 and is now (2020) on static display at Barrow Hill."
