Rebuilt West Country 4-6-2 No.34036 Westward Ho! at Milborne Port on 15th August 1964. Another photo describes this location as 'Stowell' at the top of the 1 in 100 climb from Blackmore Vale, which starts at around milepost 111, climbs through Templecombe and then starts to generally drop or level out through Milborne Port until descending Sherborne Bank proper at around milepost 116.

Templecombe's Up colour light distant can just be seen above the 11th coach, just above the top of the cutting which helps to prove it was installed at a revised position as part of the upgrading of the line for higher speed running by the southern region.
