Southern Railway designed Bulleid 'Battle of Britain' class 4-6-2 No. 34083 '605 Squadron'. Built at Brighton in Oct. 1948 and withdrawn in Aug. 1964. A fine summer's day in July 1955 sees 34083 on an express for Folkestone. 603 Squadron was based at Castle Bromwich, Warwickshire as a WW2 bomber unit.
