Ex-Highland Railway P. Drummond 'K' or 'Barney' (LMS '3F') class 0-6-0 No. 17693. Built by Dubs & Co. of Glasgow in February 1900 as HR No. 134 and withdrawn in January 1948 as BR No. 57963.

The waters of Dornoch Firth can be seen as 'Barney' 17693 takes a drink at Tain on a cloudy day in August 1939. It was to be one of the last photographs taken by Les Hanson before the declaration of war on 3rd September that year.
