BR 45 1Co-Co1 No D32 with an express leaves leaving Leeds City Station from the former MR Wellington terminus side in c1963. On the left, the skyline has the ugly, long demolished and unlamented Electric Lighting Works on Whitehall Road (1893 - late 1960s). In the centre is the clock tower of the Leeds Post Office building (1896) in City Square. And on the right is the LMS-built (1937) Queens Hotel with flagpoles atop. The latter two have survived.
