The ballast has been cleared out to aid drainage, clearly there is a problem.
The location is north west of Treorchy station, which is just visible, situated on the far side of the A4061 road bridge in the distance. On the right the small heaps are the remains of the Tyle Coch Colliery workings, now a school playing field.
