AT&SFRR 2257 1937 Los Angeles

Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad '2243' class 0-6-0 Saddletank No. 2257. Built by Hinkley of Boston, Mass. in 1887 as a class of 20 locomotives, all withdrawn by 1954.

If I were to be asked what an American stean locomotive looks like, this isn't what springs to mind. It is however undeniably American in every possible way! The Californian Palm Trees seen behind are a nice touch...
